Happy New Year to our amazing group. We have helped so many people since we started through the kindness of 500 and long may that continue, Thank you. Let’s hope 2021 improves for everyone in every way.
In the meantime, this week we are helping one of our own as nominated by Denise and we hope she starts to recover soon. Here’s the nomination: Dear Friends, Hope you all had a merry Christmas. I would like to nominate one of our 500 reasons members. She is a freelance social worker who has been in and out of hospital this year and has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia and more recently got an infection in her spine. She has spent the last 2 weeks in hospital on IV antibiotics and morphine but is still in a lot of pain and now thinks she may have a bone infection. She is possibly being discharged home soon with another 6 weeks of IV antibiotic treatment. Christmas in hospital is no fun at any time, but in these times it is particularly scary. She has not been able to work for some months. She also has to feed and maintain her dogs, who are being looked after at the moment, but she still has to find some money to pay for their keep. She would not ask for help but I think a contribution from the group would help her a lot. Love to you all, Denise x
