Morning gang! This week’s nomination reminds me of something a teacher once said to me. He said be grateful that you were lucky enough to be born where you were, with the family you were and with the health that you have. Not everyone was born that lucky and just as you did nothing to deserve such good fortune, those less fortunate did nothing to deserve their lot either. This important nomination from Ana reminds us that though geographically not far there are people living in unimaginable poverty fighting gamely for things that we often take for granted. I think more than ever this week’s £500 is going to make a huge difference to Krsto and his family.
Thank you x Hi there lovely people Hope you had a great weekend in the sun. I'm continuously so pleased to part of this group and lovely to see the modest help is making a difference to people. I have a nomination. This family is living in extreme poverty. Krsto i Bojana Angjelkovski live in a small village next to a town called Tetovo in Macedonia. Krsto's wife and Bojana's mother left them without explanation 9 years ago. Krsto is unemployed and has health problems. Finding a job is difficult and the only income they have is a small pension of his mum who is very old and deaf. The started building a modest house before the wife/mum left but are enable to complete it. Their conditions of living are terrible. The little girl is helping her father run the household. I enclose some picture from the family and their house. It is in desperate need of repair. Thanks so much for the consideration. I'm quite shaken by this story. Let me know if you need more info Ana
