Proactive positivity

Morning all! It feels like the light is firmly at the end of the tunnel regarding Covid and that long anticipated hug with our loved ones is firmly in sight. The world has undeniably shifted and this period has forced us to take stock of the world in which we live, the undeniable inequities therein and how we can each address and modify our own behaviours to pave the way for a brighter, kinder and fairer future for ourselves, our friends, our kids and our grandkids. Proactive positivity has long been something that excites us when reading your nominations. Without each of your proactive positivity, we wouldn’t have a group so our gratitude to each of you for all that you do, week on week I hope you know is never taken for granted. This week Jasmin nominates a lady called Carla that through her own brutal experiences of domestic violence has sought to financially empower women through work in India and Kenya to leave perilous, violent living conditions and enjoy every human being’s unalienable right to a life free from physical violence or the threat thereof. It’s an amazing initiative and we’re extremely pleased to help.

Lots of love x  Hi Joe, hi 500 Reasons team,  I would like to nominate Project Tres, a project founded by an inspiring woman named Carla that seeks to empower women in India (Goa) and Kenya (Nairobi) by teaching them different skills so they can earn money and thereby independence and escape domestic violence. Carla herself grew up with a very violent father in Brasil and so it is a project even closer to her heart. Due to the Coronavirus the women and her families are struggling even more at the moment and Carla has made a video to try and raise funds for them. I wondered if we could help them?  Here is the video:  https://www.instagram.com/p/CA-VyivH0ON/ https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/project-tres-empowering-women-even-during-covid-19/#/ Hope you're all good :)  Jasmin x
