Help to realise a dream

Happy Wednesday team 500. 

The world is so challenging at the moment, creating so much uncertainty everywhere so thank goodness for groups like ours who offer kindness and help.

This week’s nomination is from Sara and it also could have come from several other members of our group.

 We are helping someone who is personally impacted by the ripples of world events.

All around us we see talented, passionate, dedicated human beings with dreams and aspirations who are having their lives ripped apart. 

We wish Wadih the very best for his future and know we (and others) have already helped him be able to finish his studies.

It’s been many years since I nominated and have been donating without always checking in. I’m so happy to still be able to be a small part of such an awesome group, I’ve been reading up on donations we’ve made and it’s very special.

I don’t know if this is one you/we can help with but I thought I’d ask.

I (as well as many others) have been contacted by Rebecca Jade Hammond (Chippy Lane Theatre co.) who is fundraising for a 3rd year Lebanese student in Welsh Col. to be able to stay and finish his studies. His story’s below, this is the message from Becca:

Hello All, 

I hope you don't mind me messaging but its rather urgent and I wouldn't ask unless I needed it. One of my actors/students at Welsh College is urgently raising money to be able to stay and finish his studies on the BA in Acting. He is third year, he is extraordinary and we've found out this morning his time here might be jeopardise as he needs to sort out a visa as a Lebanese student and his bank account has been closed down because of the war. If he leaves he may well not be able to come back into the country. He has already secured a filming job at Channel 4 but wasn't able to take it as he needs to finish his studies to get the visa and thart costs 3K. So Far I've managed to raise £1300 and I'm wondering if there is anything you can donate.
