Hello lovely members,

As summer starts to feel like it finally might be here and we’re all getting outside a little more - maybe getting a bit more active or simply kicking a ball around the park - we have once again decided to sponsor a kids football team.

These are some wonderful potential future lionesses - currently only 6 years old!! - but set for bigger things!! 

We will be sponsoring new raincoats for them all for training in and we’re proud to say they will be adorned with our 500 Reasons logo and our catchphrase ‘Kindness Matters’.

As with all our team sponsorships, we asked if the girls would do a kind deed to pay forward our gift to them, and their coach Alex reported back that they are doing regular local litter picks together.

We wish them the best of luck, and massive thanks to Lucy Barrie for her nomination of them!

I'd like to nominate my niece's football team - Poppleton Football Club Girls Under 6's team - who need a sponsor for their football kit. They're the only all girls team in the area at that age, and having been playing a boys team a year below them but they're going to need to rethink this for next year as the way the boys scheme works means there isn't a suitable group when they're under 7s. They're trying to find suitable friendlies in the area but they desperate to be considered a proper team and for that they need a kit! I would love it if we could support this and encourage some future lionesses, and stop barriers like this from limiting young girls.
