In memory of Rosemary

Hello to our lovely 500, we hope January isn’t too dark and cold for everyone.

This week we are honouring one of our members who has been with us since we started, Rosemary Watson James.

Rosemary didn’t ever nominate, but she really loved being a member of 500 reasons and often sent messages and offered help further to our nominations.

Sadly, Rosemary passed before Christmas from cancer. Last year she battled through surgery and chemotherapy and was given the all clear. But suddenly in November she was told that it was back and she needed palliative care. Her messages to her friends were kind and funny and reassuring but she passed just 2 weeks after getting that news.

Today is her funeral and Rosemarys husband put a message on Facebook, this is it below and we would love to donate £250 to each of his suggested places in memory of Ree (Rosemary) and on behalf of our lovely group.

We would like to thank everyone for the love support and kind messages our family has received over the last few weeks.

Ree’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 14th January at 4.30pm.

If possible we would appreciate people adding a splash of colour to their outfit.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their lovely memories of Ree, a wonderful wife, mother grandmother and friend, they have brought us many smiles.

 There will be an opportunity to donate to two causes special to us, namely

 City Hospice in Cardiff and the

 Endowment fund for the Hepatobiliary Nursing Team at UHW,

both of whom took great care of her.
