Happy Wednesday!

We hope everyone is enjoying the last flashes of good weather as we settle into the beginnings of autumn. Wishing all those heading back to, or sending kids back to, school, college, university or even new jobs - all our love and a reminder that you are all brilliant! As we start the new academic year, we are doing a little audit here at HQ and we have noticed a few people’s donations have stopped. No problem at all if people need to take a break or stop altogether but sometimes we know that people’s standing orders might have stopped without them noticing so we just ask that everyone does a little check to see it’s still up and running. We are also opening our books for  few new members to fill the gaps so if you know people who’d like to join, do get in touch here and we can invite them properly.Onto this weeks inspiring nomination! Lucy is an actor who several members of our group know. Last week she abseiled off Liverpool Cathedral to raise money for a brilliant organisation who provide accommodation for families of patients at the Walton Centre in Liverpool which is a leading neuroscience hospital where Lucy’s dad (who had been a GP himself) spent time before he passed away. Home from Home provide accommodation for those needing to be near their loved ones at incredibly difficult and important times.Lucy has had some struggles with her own health this year and wasn’t sure if she’d be able to do the abseil - but she did it as an amazing tribute to her Dad and a way of saying thanks to Home from Home.We are thrilled to support her and this amazing charity in honour of Arthur Ellinson!Congratulations Lucy!!!X
