Helping at a time of grief

We hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying this time until New Year’s Day and would love to let you all know how much we appreciate the power of community through our group and enjoy the weekly feeing of extending help and kindness through our nominations.

This week we are re-visiting a person we helped last year, this time under very different circumstances. We hope our act of kindness toward Ran will be very welcome and we send much love at this time and a huge 500 reasons hug.

Happy New Year to you all.

Thank you Rich for such a caring nomination.

Hello lovelies,

Merry Xmas to you and yours.

I’m sorry to write this over the festive period …

Last year, you were all kind enough to vote for my friends Ran and Andy. Ran is an opera singer from Bristol and we supported them while her husband Andy underwent urgent care for a lung condition that he had.

Sadly, Andy passed away last week and I was wondering whether we could help Ran out again? She’s going to inevitably have a lot of extra costs over the next few weeks but, as usual, it’s not just about the money. I can only imagine the thought that 500 pairs of arms wrapping around her, might make this period slightly easier for someone who has been fighting with incredible resilience over the past few years.

Obviously, there are going to be many many worthwhile causes being nominated, particularly at this time of year, so I absolutely appreciate that the answer on this occasion might be a ‘no’. I can’t imagine the toll it must have on you all, reading the stories of so many helpless folk. So, thank you. Thank you for being the best of humanity.

Merry Christmas and all the best to you and yours for the new year.

Rich x
