Morning all! Hope you’ve had a great week? Not sure how many of you caught the two semi finals of the Womens Rugby World Cup last weekend but it was two brilliant matches that resulted in an England v Canada final at Twickenham.
The semi finals were both at Ashton Gate in Bristol and has resulted in lots of young women wanting to pick up a rugby ball and join a local club.
http://www.northbristolrfc.co.uk/ Is a club that is looking to give youngsters this opportunity and was especially looking to get full kit, training gear and boots for girls that financially could do with a hand as the start up costs can sometimes be prohibitively expensive. Well, of course at 500 Reasons HQ we’d never want that to be an obstacle for young people so thought we’d give North Bristol Rugby Club a hand. Speaking to their head coach about our ask that teams we help might go and do something nice in their communities, she said
“Thank you so much to 500 Reasons, I was thinking we go out and do something community spirited and share on the socials. we could get the girls into a nursing home after the World Cup and talk to some of the residents, spend a bit of time with them if we can make that happen. Or maybe a big clean up somewhere but will come back to you with what we do.”
You’re watering the seeds for the next generation of Red Roses. Thank you
This is for the girls:
