Tony Hall cared for his wife Barbara for almost 25 years since her diagnosis with dementia. Sadly, Barbara is no longer with us but Tony launched the Bristol Dementia Action Alliance and is determined to make Bristol more dementia aware and better placed to work with and assist people with dementia. They go into schools, businesses and community groups to better help people understand how they can understand and help. They also run memory cafes and session providing essential care, help and respite for the carers themselves as well as people with dementia and their users are so grateful for the lifeline they consistently provide. Their work is so wide reaching and they are an army of volunteers who could really benefit from our help in order for them to continue to help.

Have a look at their incredible work on bdaa.org.uk
