Morning team! We’re splitting the pot this week between two equally deserving causes that are finding things incredibly tough but for two completely different reasons.

We’re always here for anything you need and anyone who needs our help.

As always, thank you for your love, your care and your attention.

Here’s the two nominations:

Single parent Lauren is a dance instructor and her sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her sister has 5 children and 3 with additional needs so the extended family have galvanised to be able to help her sister as she goes through chemotherapy. She says for her sister her hair is her crown and as she’s losing her hair she’d like to be able to raise money the only way she knows how to get a bespoke wig made for her beloved sister. She’s throwing a dance event which is a day of love and celebration raising money for both her sister and a colleague who is also undergoing treatment for cancer. I would like to nominate her sister for £250 towards her wig as she undergoes treatment. I know we’ve helped other women get bespoke wigs in the past and how important it’s been for their self confidence and they all important mental battle with this awful disease.CheersJoe

And

Dear 500 Reasons,I’d like to nominate a lovely man and his family this week.He did so much for his community during covid you may remember he was awarded the grant for his community some years ago - and used it to create a food drop to feed people who were struggling to feed themselves. He has now unfortunately fallen on hard times and is about to have his home repossessed. He works in the South African film industry as a driver but Trumps trade policies have taken TV and Film away from that region almost over night and many planned projects have now been canned. He has reached out to me recently in hope.My Brother its been very dry in Cape Town for work, hence Mr Trump stopped American Movies coming to South Africa. I haven't had work for the last 3 months the sad part is that we are almost losing our house and our car, that stresses me out, where are we going to stay now with family and my kids they really love this place. It’s so bad my Brother. He is a proud Man do this email would have been hard for him to write.RegardsJack
