The Grand Appeal

Morning! Hope all’s well with you guys? 

This week on the radio two incredibly brave young parents Lisa and Steve came on to speak about the incredible help they received from both the fantastic NHS staff at the Bristol Children’s Hospital and a charity appeal called The Grand Appeal. 

They lived too far from the hospital and their little boy, Tommy was born and lived his short life having never left the hospital. The Grand Appeal stepped in to help them live a stones throw away and make sure they were cared for as parents so they could be with Tommy until he passed away very recently. 

Incredibly they were extremely keen to raise awareness of the amazing work the Grand Appeal do to help families like their own. One of our members, Nathalie heard the interview and felt moved to nominate. Having had the pleasure of meeting this couple and a member of the Grand Appeal I couldn’t agree more that the money this week is going to a fantastic place. 

You hope you’ll never need them but my goodness, I’m so pleased that they are there.
