Helping others help others...

So, this week I was asked by a headmaster who’d heard of the fantastic work we 500 have been doing and he wondered if I’d come and speak to his children as they loved the idea and wondered if their schools could start one! Getting started is really difficult as I think some people can be naturally cynical and worry that it might not be entirely legitimate. That’s a shame of course but it means that we have to redouble our efforts to show that it is an endeavour that is entirely altruistic, genuine and bloody joyous! As well as our own weekly legacy it’s a real honour and privilege to find people that feel like us and want to use the simple model to do good wherever they see fit. This Gloucester school is the 4th group to start up and we thought it might be a good use of this week’s money to help them starting out on their journey and have given @helpclubuk , #Friends500 and @500actsof as well as the brilliant St Peter’s High School £125 each to give them that all important leg up and help empower and enable them to do incredible work of their own. It’s especially exciting to see young people passionate and eager to make a difference. Lots of love x
