Morning all! Who among us as parents, grandparents and carers and indeed as kids ourselves doesn’t love a park?! Park provision is essential to get out and about improve our mental and physical wellbeing and it isn’t financially punitive. Patch got in touch with us because his local park needs a bit of love to get kids playing safely and inclusively and that sounds lovely to us! We hope Page Park continues to make memories for generations to come x
Hi All,
I would like to nominate the Friends of Page Park, Staple Hill for the donation… cheers all - keep up the great work!
Our project is to improve the parks play/ sports equipment and facilities making it inclusive for all.
We are starting with the metal play area near South View
At present the only inclusive pieces of play equipment in Page Park is one bucket swing without a harness and a flat dutch round a bout.
The aim is to extend the play area and add new play equipment for all abilities which will include play panels attached to the larger pieces of equipment and the railings.
There is a wide variety of these panels, some have moving parts and some have information ie Sign Language Symbols, alphabet symbols or games as shown below…
Thankyou for any help your are able to offer to help us build a more inclusive facility…
