Hey everyone, hope you’re staying cool out there cos it’s hotter than a jalapeño’s armpit! Our wonderful member Holly wants to nominate a young single mum that’s up against it and needs our help.

Here’s her nomination for Rebecca:
Help for single Mum - I would like to nominate an outstanding young lady who has against all the odds done an amazing job to get to where she is. This young lady is called Rebecca she is 19 years old. She was brought up in care and got pregnant at the age of 15 and had to leave school. She chose to keep the baby and has smashed life since.

She had a lovely little girl when she was 16, went into a mother and baby foster placement and did so well she was living in her own place with her daughter at the age of 17.  Rebecca is a determined strong young lady and is not only smashing parent hood at such a young age but she is also smashing life.

Rebecca has always worked and has managed to pass her driving test and scrape the money to buy a car and this has opened up opportunities for her and her daughter. She continues to struggle financially as without qualifications she is not earning a lot and has to prioritise being a mum but she wants to be a positive role model for her daughter. She works very hard to provide for her and her daughter and I really think with this time of year being such a financial strain and cost of living £500 would make a huge difference not only financially but emotionally. It would get some bills paid to start the year off on a positive note. She really is worth the vote. :)
