Morning everyone, it’s a frightening and scary time in the world right now and we take real heart in the inherent goodness of our community and all of you, its members as we try to shine a little light. Olivia has reached out to us as her cousin’s family are having to deal with the worst news possible. Our hope is that our small gift helps bring a degree of financial security at this awful time.
Loads of love and thank you all

Hiya,
Tragically my cousin’s husband has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer and as he is self employed and suddenly unable to work, they have found their household income significantly reduced at a really difficult time. I would like to nominate the Humberstone family for one of our upcoming donations. See below for more information……
Dan has very recently been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to his liver and abdominal tissue. This cancer is unfortunately not curable. With the chemotherapy treatment that has been planned for him, Dan still only has a life expectancy of 6 - 12 months.
Dan is a self-employed painter and decorator and will be unable to work while he undergoes his treatment. He and his wife Alice have a 16 month old daughter, Hazel and for the first time he is unable to provide for them.
They already have a go fund me page to help contribute to their mortgage payments and bills. They aren’t too far from their goal, but as this young family really needs all the help they can get I would very much like 500 Reasons to consider donating to them. It’s hit our family very hard. This is a desperately unfair situation and if there is anything that can be done to make it less stressful for them and for Dan to be able to relax with his family while he undergoes treatment instead of worrying about money, we want to try and make that happen.
