Fallen Hero

Dearest community,

I hope you are all staying safe in which is still a rather scary time. We send you all so much love and support, as I know it’s affected us all in different ways. We had a nomination this week that we unanimously felt needed our help. If I am honest it was something I hadn’t really thought about, the after care of a covid survivor. “S“, an ambulance driver contracted the virus and had a very tough battle with it, but thankfully has survived, but it has left him with a the next challenge, getting better from this awful illness. His house needs to be adapted and to get him home so his family to care for him it needs to be done ASAP. We are so pleased we can offer some help. We wish S a full recovery and thank him for all his hard work. Here is the nomination in full. We are attempting to raise funds to procure rehabilitation equipment for our dear Ambulance colleague “S”, who has been extremely unfortunate to contract covid-19. Steve is now at the stage where he changes direction from fighting Covid 19 to enter a new challenging period where he undertakes the complex and lengthy stage of rehabilitation. Looking ahead, S will require home equipment such as a stair lift shower equipment the potential conversion of his downstairs living area, to provide him ease of access for day to day tasks, including living and hygiene requirements. The funds would be greatly appreciated by this lovely gentleman and his family Many Thanks Rhiannon
