Gold from the stone - Care leavers at Christmas.

Good morning and a huge, heartfelt Merry Christmas to you beautiful lot. You’ve been so generous as always with your time, ideas, money and support. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You!

As so many of us are lucky enough to be spending quality time with our friends and family and enjoying a gorgeous meal we wanted to see if we could help a few more people have a Christmas to remember…

All over the country, volunteers are working to give care leavers a Christmas Day they’ll never forget…

The Christmas Dinner Project was set up with the intention that no care leaver would be left alone on Christmas Day. Founded by the poet, Lemn Sissay MBE, each Dinner is its own individual project run by local volunteers who come together to make the Christmas Day magic happen.

Thanks to the imagination and determination of everyone involved up and down the UK, this Christmas there will still be food, presents, laughter and love.

You can find out more about the excellent work Lemn’s group do and the places across the UK it gets done you can check it out right here. https://www.goldfromthestone.org.uk/

Here at 500 Reasons HQ were raising a glass to each of you! You’re amazing

Cheers
